Club Manager Vacancy

Islington Boat Club provides a wide range of water-based activities in the Islington community.  While we offer activities for all, we focus on young people, over 50s and people with additional needs. 

Some of our activities include kayaking, narrow boating, power boating, yoga, and stand up paddle boarding.We are looking to hire a Club Manager who will ensure the smooth running and oversight of the Club. 

Working closely with the staff, trustees and volunteers, you will take the lead on all aspects of the club management, including leading on how we can continually improve the programmes and services we offer to the community.

Are you an experience manager of a community organisation?  Can you demonstrate your leadership experience and organisational skills?

A background working with young people and a water sports qualification is preferred.This role provides a real opportunity to make a difference in the community and to fully utilise your organisational and management skills, as part of a charity.

Freelance Instructors

We are always keen to build our pool of British Canoeing instructors, in particular Levels 2 and 3.

We also run RYA accredited courses we have ad-hoc work for RYA Powerboat course instructors.

We are in need of a treasurer to prepare bi-monthly financial reports for the trustees and prepare annual accounts for our auditors. This role will need a reasonable level of accountancy skills and if possible, an understanding of SORP and charity financing. A fair knowledge of Quickbooks would also be very welcome.
