The Islington Boat Club premises will remain shut until early July 2022.
We are working towards a solution to enable activities to return to the club.
In the meantime we are working with local boat clubs and youth providers to facilitate our current bookings where possible.
We will be in contact with users and bookings to confirm arrangements.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any new bookings between now and September 2022.
Thank you for everyone's continued support, it truly is appreciated.

Volunteer at IBC
As with most charities we rely heavily on the help and support we receive from our volunteers.
We have opportunities across the wide range of services we provide, from working face to face with youth club members to helping out with events or general admin in the office.
All equally important to keeping the Islington Boat Club up and running and working for the local community.
Areas you can help:
-
act as steward at open days and events - meet and greet visitors, record names and complete registers, allocate spaces for taster sessions.
-
help in our canteen - both on open days and on school holidays when we like to provide healthy eating options for our members.
-
assist on youth club sessions - take subs and complete registers, help with kitting out new members. We are happy to give basic instruction so you can also help out on the water.
-
administration - help with mail-outs, recording data, answering phones, filing, photocopying.
-
site maintenance - we always need people who are handy with some basic DIY or gardening.
-
become a trustee - our trustees play an invaluable role by ensuring the club is fully compliant and supporting the staff team in the running of the club.
