What to wear.
-
Ideally please arrive in your stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) clothes.
-
Please wear comfy layers and bring a change of clothing in case you fall in. No jeans!
-
Because this is the canal we’d like you to wear something on your feet, eg, old trainers, beach shoes.
-
We will supply a buoyancy aid and if it’s cold/wet a kagoule.
-
If it’s hot remember to bring water and use sunscreen.
-
We have safe storage for your clothes/valuables.
Relaxing SUP
Enjoy a chill 90mins from 6.30-8pm to unwind and relax on the water. This is a chance to learn how to paddleboard and an opportunity to tune into nature on Regent’s Canal.
Especially suitable for teachers, NHS, anyone in stressful jobs or looking for work.
Maximum number 8 (at least 3 must book)
Evening paddle
Join us for a longer paddle exploring Regent's Canal. If you haven't been on many longer paddles this will be a perfect summer evening introduction - we'll paddle together towards Hackney and have breaks when needed. We will be portaging two or three locks in both directions. You should have tried paddleboarding at least five times and be able to stand for the whole trip.
Please bring water and a halfway snack.
Litter picking (free)
Please help keep Regent's Canal and the City Road Basin clean of litter to help the wildlife living here by joining our litter picks. These litter picks are free - you'll use a paddleboard or can walk along the bank.
Litter picks start on time and last for 90mins.
We'll give you a buoyancy aid, gloves/litter picker and later a free cuppa to warm up.
We are lucky to have support from Active Thames to run these sessions. This is a great opportunity to get to know more people who also care for the Regent's Canal.
