As a charity, Islington Boat Club does its very best to raise funds for itself by organising or facilitating private events on this beautiful and rare expanse of water. We are a not for profit organisation; any money raised is for keeping our facilities open and available for children in the local community.
Offering Royal Yachting Association Inland Waterways courses and powerboat courses; British Canoeing - Canoe England kayaking and canoeing courses; MIAS mountain biking courses.
We have activities for all ages; from 19 years upwards, including SUP and Yoga. Our UpperDeckers club is specifically for 50+ and has a variety of watersports and canal activities.
We are always looking for ways to raise funds for all of our services. If you feel you can help, either with sponsorship, fundraising ideas or connecting us with potential funders, please let us know.
As a registered charity, Islington Boat Club is reliant upon the generosity of people to enable us to continue providing the affordable or free services we offer to young people, people with additional needs and over-50s.
As with most charities we rely heavily on the help and support we receive from our volunteers.
